My lower back tattoo is a week old and it still feels raised and dry.?

My other tattoos usually leveled off and felt smooth after a week. Maybe its just healing slower or no?
I stopped putting the a&d ointment on after 4 days and started using lubriderm. Any suggestions or should I just keep being patient?
